Did God create him or did he allow Lucifer to make a free will choice?
God doesn't make our choices for us and He didn't make the prideful choice that Lucifer made to put himself above God. Could God have stopped him? Yes For whatever reason, he chose not to. Did He know what Lucifer would choose? Yes
Question: Why did God make Amy an overthinker? Answer: To wear us out with her questions. :-)
O.k., my other answer: I would say what Sandi did. He made everything beautiful and perfect, knowing the bazillions of details that would change His perfect plan. He allowed Lucifer to fall, and to take a whole crew of angels with him. Because He is God, and we're not. He knows what He's doing and I'm content to not try to figure it out. You know, since I'm not an overthinker.
God sees the big picture. He created Lucifer with a free will. He knew what would happen, but, he also saw Jesus! God wants our fellowship, he wants us to worship and love him. What an outcome creating Lucifer did, not only was he able to have a perfect son, but, he was able to give his son as a gift for all of mankind. And what a gift it was. Before Jesus, we could pray to God, we could make burnt offerings to God, we could fellowship with God, but, He did not dwell in our hearts and soul. When we ask Jesus into our hearts, he lives there. Can you imagine when God saw that? God is Jesus. So God was able to see a future where he dwells in our hearts. He lives in our hearts!!! It was the ultimate way to be close to us. I pray we never take for granted the massive love of God!! Thanks for your overthinking Amy!
