It was hard to spend the money too. I am the epitome of cheap. Or thrifty. I tried not to think of just how many bottles of nail polish I could buy with what it costs to get a mani and pedi. Then I told myself to shut it and just enjoy the experience. So I read my book.
I have pretty nails too, even though I managed to ding them before I was even out of the nail place. And I had them done because I'm painting tomorrow??? Oh well. Guess I'll have to put to use my plastic gloves.
And the nice lady said, "You really like color?" Yes, I'm a weirdo, and I love this color!
*sigh* That was fun. I won't do it again for a long time, but Jamie's a bad influence, and I had to cave at some point! It was fun to cave!!! *smooch* :):):)

I love it, and I am so like you in that I don't like to spend the money, and I also don't like the chemically smell in some nail salons, but it's so nice to have pretty toes that last a long time every once in a while. They look beautiful.
Cute "piggies," as they're known in this house. :-)
I'm glad you had a treat, but I hate you got your virgin pedicure without me. IF I ever get one, you'll have to witness it. I always think I'll laugh too....that's funny you were worried about it.
Did you wear a mask to keep from dying from the fumes? Ugh....
so proud of you and what pretty toes you have!!! i LOVE getting pedicures - maybe once a year, twice if i'm lucky, but for some reason, the polish lasts a LOT longer when someone else does it!!! We need a girls time to all go together!!!
I got a gift certificate to get either a mani or a pedi but haven't used it yet. Thought it would be more fun to go with some one so if I haven't used it by the time you want another, let's go together. Or if anyone else reading this wants to go, call me!
this is what i LOVE most about you, iris;) so thrifty & cute!
i just told an old friend & shane that i "want" a pedicure, but don't want to spend the money on it 'cause there are so many things the boys need right now.
however, in the spirit of being such a girly girl, oh, a pedicure is such a blessing...an indulging one, but so wonderful.
your perspective always tickles me & makes me yearn for less worldliness.
& you DO deserve it! you do!
i have a gift card for the store next to publix if someone wants to go together :)
