Anyway,
My sweet Laney has been trying to ride a bike literally for years. She just turned 8, and I was hoping it would happen soon, for her self confidence's sake. My precious friend Jackie posted a video of her son riding his bike in the back yard, and I showed it to the kids. Laney and Jude started jumping up and down, asking me to take off their training wheels on their bikes so they could try to ride in the back yard too. So I did.
As I expected, Jude jumped on his bike and took off. That kid has natural athletic ability. He struggles in some other areas, but he can do stuff like this amazingly well. Laney worked so hard, I think encouraged by Jude's going to it, and she actually got it! Oh, I was so happy and proud.
We headed off to the circle, and they were immediately addicted. I am so glad.

Allen rides his bike with them, and when the weather clears up, I want to try too. I wonder if it's true that you never forget how to ride a bike. It's been 25+ years since I've been on one, so we'll see...
Oh and you have to watch this video to the very end. I have no idea who the loud mouth is who won't be quiet, but never mind that...

Oh my goodness!!!! I am laughing so hard at Zane running behind Laney. That is so funny. I'm so excited that Cody, Laney and Jude all started riding with no training wheels at the same time. It just somehow makes me feel closer to you. I went a long time without riding a bike too and it really was just fine, except that I didn't remember having to huff and puff so much going up hills.
Yay! And Zane cracks me up.
